BALANCE / VESTIBULAR DISORDERS
Vestibular & Balance Disorders rehabilitation therapy (VRT) is an exercise-based program to diminish dizziness, improve balance and restore quality of life for those with vestibular dysfunction. The program can promote central nervous system compensation for inner ear deficits, impaired balance, vertigo and motion sensitivity. VRT can help with problems including:
- Benign paroxysmal positional vertigo (BPPV)
- Meniere’s Disease
- Labyrinthitis
- Vestibular neuritis
- Inner ear disorders that have not responded to medical management
- Acute/abrupt loss of vestibular function following surgery
- History of falling
Our patients receive a comprehensive evaluation, education and a specific treatment plan from one of our specially trained physical therapists.
